Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup
Lemon - 2 nos
Green chillies - 2 nos
Curry leaves - few leaves
Asafoitida - 1/2 tea spoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Mustard seeds - 1 table spoons
Black gram dal - 1 table spoons
Bengal gram dal - 1 table spoons
Ground nuts - 1 1/2 table spoons
For masala powder:
Fry - black gram dal - 1 table spoon
Pepper - 1 tea spoon (Fry and powder it)
1. Cook rice and allow it to cool.
2. Add turmeric powder, asafoitida, salt and mix thoroughly.
3. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds, black gram dal, bengal gram dal and groundnuts.
4. Once the dals grow golden brown add the chopped red chillies, curry leaves and green chillies.
5. Add the fried dals to the rice and the ground masala powder and also the lemon juice and mix thoroughly.
6. Lemon rice ready.
